Summer engineering interns documented why Paisano Lane floods: storm runoff up to 3,325 cfs crushes pipe capacity of about 468 cfs and a ditch that tops out near 1,744 cfs. The neighborhood sits in a low spot with slow-draining soils, and decades of development added pavement. The interns recommended designing any fix to the 100-year storm standard.
